Ok, Ok. This is supposed to be about embracing the new, right? In that spirit, I'd like to present a short but sweet list of things that I like about our new hometown:
::the handyman who came to work on our house had a Red Sox hat to wear with his street clothes and another Red Sox hat to wear with his painting clothes--I admire that level of commitment.
::when I look at the weather forecast, I'm still shocked to see the radar image show that we are surrounded by water.
::on that note, I love that I can get fish that hasn't been shipped over a dozen states to get to my fishmonger's counter.
::walking around town, I see so much diversity (and I know there is even more that isn't immediately visible).
::this place
::the prospect of all the different places we can visit: Portsmouth, Portland, the Cape...
::that my family is here, and that's what matters.
